Pastor Jacob Susek is our speaker on most Sunday mornings. He grew up near New York City in the town of Yonkers. He graduated from Northeastern Bible College in New Jersey, later pursuing an M.Div. from Biblical Theological Seminary in Hatfield, PA. He then pastored two churches for a total of 28 years. Pastor Jake and his wife Marilyn live in Royersford, PA and have three sons and nine grandchildren. Pastor Jake is Vice President of Pastoral Care for the Fellowship Community, a retirement community in Whitehall, PA. A favorite verse from Pastor Jake is Ephesians 2:4-5: “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.”
Pastor John Vandegriff is our Pastor of Counseling. In addition to counseling, he is leading our Primetime Ministry for people aged 50+. Pastor Vandegriff grew up in NYC, and received a degree from the University of Tennessee in Business Administration and Transportation. Following graduation he worked in truck line sales in NYC. Later he graduated from Northeastern Bible College. Pastor Vandegriff pastored five churches for a total of 37 years. He is now retired from full-time ministry. He and his wife, Ruthie, run a Christian retreat center in Newfoundland, PA through Airbnb. Pastor Vandegriff is the author of In the Arena of the Mind, a book helping people replace negative thinking with godly Biblical thinking. John and Ruthie have been married for 60 years, and have three children, 8 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Ben Armstrong preaches the Word approximately one Sunday per month. He majored in Pastoral Studies at Lancaster Bible College, and then earned two degrees from Capital Bible Seminary: M.A. in Ministry and M. Div., both in leadership. Ben is employed in warehouse shipping for a restaurant supply company while he seeks ordination with the Bible Fellowship Church. He and his wife, Jill, serve as foster parents.
A favorite verse for Ben is 1 Timothy 4:16: “Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.” Ben comments about this verse, “you must make sure you watch your own spiritual walk so you are in a position to minister to others.”
